Wiegmann RSC060604G Galvanized Steel Enclosure 6x6x4 line protection

Galvanized Steel Enclosure 6x6x4

The Wiegmann RSC060604G is a wall-mountable enclosure built from 16 gauge galvanized steel with a silver finish. It provides a NEMA 3R rating for protection against falling rain and sleet in outdoor or industrial settings. The solid cover uses a screw-on design with clamps and includes a padlockable handle for secure access. This unit suits electrical contractors and maintenance teams needing compact line protection housing.

Mounting Surface And Usable Depth

Verify that the mounting surface can support the enclosure weight and that the 3.88 in usable opening depth accommodates your internal components. The unit requires a flat wall area for the 6 in by 6 in footprint and uses screws for both cover attachment and wall mounting. Confirm that your conduit entry plans align with the solid cover design which has no pre-drilled knockouts. The included screws cover cover fastening only.

Thermal Dissipation And Power Considerations

The galvanized steel body acts as a passive heat sink for installed breakers or bus plugs during normal operation. No active cooling is present so internal temperatures depend on ambient conditions and load density within the 4 in deep cavity. The NEMA 3R rating allows rain drainage while restricting airflow, so derate components accordingly. Power draw is determined entirely by the devices you install inside the enclosure.
