Compact NEMA 3R Steel Enclosure

This Wiegmann RSC series enclosure provides a NEMA 3R rated housing for electrical components in indoor or outdoor settings. The carbon steel body with ANSI 61 polyester powder coating in gray resists corrosion and weather exposure. It measures six inches high, wide and deep with a usable opening depth of 5.88 inches. The unit is UL listed and CSA certified for code compliant installations.

Sixteen Gauge Build With Padlock Hasp

The 16 gauge steel construction delivers rigid protection while the screw on solid cover seals against falling dirt and rain. A padlockable handle and hasp allow the enclosure to be secured against unauthorised access. Wall mounting tabs are integrated for direct surface attachment and mounting screws are included in the package. The gray powder finish maintains appearance in harsh environments.

Replaces Unrated Or Damaged Junction Boxes

This enclosure upgrades from non rated boxes that cannot withstand outdoor moisture or dust. The jump is worth it when local codes require a NEMA 3R rating or when a padlockable cover is needed for safety compliance. It is not suited for applications requiring a larger internal volume, a transparent cover or a hinged door mechanism. Buyers needing multiple conduit entries on all sides should verify the knock out pattern matches their layout.
