Wiegmann RSC081004 Padlockable Enclosure

The Wiegmann RSC081004 is a carbon-steel electrical enclosure rated NEMA 3R for outdoor use. It is built for installers who need a wall-mounted box that protects breakers or terminal blocks from rain and sleet.

Wall-mount carbon steel with padlock hasp

The enclosure measures 10 in high, 8 in wide and 4 in deep with a usable opening depth of 3.88 in. A screw-on solid cover and ANSI 61 gray powder coat finish complete the assembly. The padlockable hasp secures the cover without extra hardware.

16 ga steel rated for CSA, cULus and UL

The 16 ga construction handles standard junction-box loads in residential and light-commercial service. It is not suited for heavy industrial gear that demands thicker walls or higher NEMA ratings.

Questions about this item

What is the usable opening depth that limits how deep a component can be mounted inside the RSC081004?

The usable opening depth is 3.88 in, so any device or terminal block must fit within that space.

How does the ANSI 61 powder-coated carbon steel handle heat when the enclosure sits in direct sun all day?

The gray ANSI 61 powder coat reflects solar gain and the 16 ga carbon steel dissipates heat without forced airflow.

Which mounting hardware must the installer already have to secure this wall-mount enclosure?

The enclosure includes mounting screws, but the installer must supply wall anchors or bolts suited to the mounting surface.
