Wiegmann SC101006NK NEMA 1 Enclosure

The Wiegmann SC101006NK is a NEMA 1 rated wall-mount enclosure built from 16 ga carbon steel with an ANSI 61 powder-coated gray finish. It measures 10.0 in height by 10.0 in width by 6.0 in depth and provides a usable opening depth of 5.88 in. The solid cover secures with plated steel screws and the box includes self-tapping screws for installation. It carries CSA Certified, cULus, and UL Listed standards.

Build Quality and Mounting Implications

The carbon steel construction and powder coating protect internal components in indoor environments against falling dirt. Embossed mounting holes on the back allow direct wall attachment without separate brackets. The screw-on cover requires a driver for access, which slows quick inspections but ensures the lid stays sealed against vibration. The 6.0 in overall depth and 5.88 in usable depth set the maximum profile for any mounted breakers, bus plugs, or terminal blocks.

Compatibility Checks Before Ordering

Verify that the 10.0 in by 10.0 in footprint fits the available wall space and that the 6.0 in projection clears any nearby obstructions or aisles. Confirm the NEMA 1 rating matches the site requirements, as this enclosure is not rated for water, oil, or outdoor exposure. Ensure the screw-on cover access method suits your maintenance schedule and that the 16 ga steel gauge meets any local code specifications for the intended circuit protection devices.
