SC Series Carbon Steel Enclosure

The Wiegmann SC040604 is a NEMA 1 rated enclosure built from 16 gauge carbon steel with an ANSI 61 gray powder coat finish. It measures 6 inches high, 4 inches wide and 4 inches deep for wall mounted line protection. Embossed mounting holes and plated steel screws simplify secure installation.

NEMA 1 Indoor Protection Limits

This enclosure provides a degree of protection against contact with enclosed equipment and falling dirt in indoor locations. It is not rated for outdoor exposure, water ingress, oil, coolant or corrosive atmospheres. The usable opening depth of 3.88 inches limits the size of internal components that can be fitted.

Screw Cover Installation Notes

The solid cover attaches with plated steel screws into the enclosure body and self tapping screws are included for convenience. Alignment of the cover gasket area is critical to maintain the NEMA 1 seal. Over tightening screws can strip the 16 gauge threads and compromise the closure.
