Compact Galvanized Steel Enclosure

The Wiegmann SC080806GNK is a NEMA 1 rated enclosure built from 16 gauge galvanized steel. It provides a secure housing for electrical components in indoor commercial or light industrial settings. The screw-on solid cover uses captive plated steel screws for reliable closure. Embossed mounting holes simplify wall installation.

Indoor Electrical Installations

This enclosure suits electricians and facility managers protecting wiring junctions, terminal blocks or small control devices in dry environments. The 5.88 inch usable opening depth accommodates standard component profiles. Buyers needing protection against water, dust or oil ingress should look at higher NEMA rated alternatives. Outdoor or wash-down applications require a different specification.

CSA and cULus Certified Safety

The single specification that decides fit is the combined CSA Certified and cULus listing. These marks confirm the enclosure meets North American safety standards for electrical enclosures. Without these certifications the unit cannot be used in code-compliant installations. Verify your local authority accepts these listings before specifying this part.
