Galvanised steel enclosure 12 in x 12 in

The Wiegmann SC-G series enclosure is a NEMA 1 rated cabinet built from 16 gauge galvanised steel. It measures 12 inches high, 12 inches wide and 6 inches deep with a usable opening depth of 5.88 inches. The solid cover fastens with plated steel captive screws and the body includes embossed mounting holes plus self-tapping screws for wall installation. It carries CSA, cULus and UL Listed certifications.

Verify mounting space and screw pattern

Before ordering, confirm the available wall area can accommodate the 12 by 12 inch footprint and that the embossed hole pattern matches your existing hardware layout. Check that a 6 inch projection from the wall is acceptable and that the operating environment only requires a NEMA 1 indoor rating. Ensure the galvanised finish is compatible with any adjacent dissimilar metals.

Replaces smaller or unrated junction boxes

This enclosure upgrades from basic pull boxes that lack NEMA certification or captive screw covers. The jump is worthwhile when code requires a UL Listed, CSA approved cabinet with a solid door and corrosion-resistant galvanised steel. It is not suited for outdoor, wash-down or hazardous locations that demand NEMA 3R, 4, 4X or higher protection.
