24-Inch Stainless Steel Enclosure

The Wiegmann SSN4242008 is a wall-mountable enclosure built from 14-gauge 304 stainless steel. It suits installers who need a NEMA 12, 3R, 4 and 4X rated housing for electrical components in indoor or outdoor settings.

IP66 and UL Listed Protection

The single specification that determines fit is the IP66 rating combined with cULus, CSA and IEC certifications. This confirms the enclosure withstands powerful water jets and dust ingress for the application.

Sustained Environmental Sealing

A seamless poured-in-place polyurethane gasket maintains the seal over long periods without compression set. The clamp closure and padlockable hasp keep the cover secure during continuous exposure to wash-down or weather cycles.

Questions about this item

What does the 24 in height mean for panel space inside the enclosure?

The 24 in overall height provides room for the 6XC19 interior panel and leaves usable depth of 8 in for components.

How do the NEMA 12, 3R, 4, 4X and IP66 ratings limit where this stainless enclosure can be installed?

Those ratings certify protection against dust, dripping water, hose-directed water and corrosion, so the box suits indoor and outdoor wash-down areas.

What mounting hardware is required for the external feet on this 14 ga 304 stainless unit?

The integral external mounting feet accept standard lag bolts or screws through the pre-punched holes for direct wall attachment.
