Passive SFP+ twinax cable carries 10 Gbps over 3.28 ft with 30 AWG conductors and green PVC jacket
This green-coloured SFP+ direct-attach copper cable provides a 10 Gbps passive link between two SFP+ ports. It suits network engineers and system builders who need a short, low-latency connection for switches, routers, NAS units or server NICs in a rack or cabinet.
The 30 AWG twinax construction meets SFP+ MSA and SFF-8432 limits, keeping crosstalk low during continuous 10 GbE or 1/2/4/8 G Fibre Channel streams. Operating from 0 to 70 °C, it maintains signal integrity across sustained loads in data-centre aisles or storage clusters without active cooling or power draw.
At exactly 3.28 ft the cable only fits adjacent or near-adjacent ports; longer runs need fibre or active copper. Buyers who need more reach, or who require an active cable for extended distances, should select a different length or media type.

| Size & build | |
|---|---|
| Overall length | 3.28 ft (1 m) |
The passive twinax design has no active electronics, so it produces negligible heat during continuous 10 Gbps operation.
Both ends require SFP+ ports; the cable plugs directly into any SFP+ socket on a switch, router, NAS, NIC or other 10 GbE device.
The cable is built to the SFP+ MSA and SFF-8432 standards, so it fits mechanically, but 10 Gbps signalling requires SFP+ modules on both sides — legacy 1 GbE SFP ports will not link at 10 Gbps.
