A USB-C to DisplayPort 1.4 cable that delivers 8K at 60 Hz or 4K at 240 Hz with 32.4 Gbps bandwidth and Thunderbolt compatibility
This unidirectional cable carries video from a USB-C or Thunderbolt 4/3 source to a DisplayPort display without drivers. It handles 8K at 60 Hz and scales down to 4K at 240 Hz or 2K at 360 Hz. Dynamic HDR and HDCP 2.3 are supported for protected content. Audio formats including eARC, DTS and Dolby pass through the same link.
DisplayPort 1.4 runs at the full 32.4 Gbps rate and uses Display Stream Compression to keep high resolutions stable over long sessions. Variable refresh rate and auto low-latency mode prevent stutter during extended gaming. The active circuitry maintains signal integrity so flicker and drop-outs do not appear after warm-up.
The host must expose native DisplayPort signalling over its USB-C or Thunderbolt 4/3 connector; plain USB data ports will not work. Verify the monitor has a DisplayPort input and decide whether you need mirror, extend or daisy-chained Multi-Stream layouts. MacBook clamshell operation requires the lid closed and power connected.

The cable is a passive copper link with no active electronics, so it generates no measurable heat and draws negligible power from the host port during continuous operation.
You need a USB-C or Thunderbolt 4/3 port that supports DisplayPort Alt Mode on the source device and a standard DisplayPort 1.4 input on the monitor.
Yes, the DisplayPort 1.4 link is fully backward compatible and will automatically negotiate 4K 60 Hz with Dynamic HDR, VRR and ALLM on the legacy display.
