45 RPM vinyl record adapter

This aluminium adapter converts a 7 inch record centre hole for 45 RPM playback. It fits Technics SL1200 series turntables and works with other models. The frosted silver finish resists corrosion and wear. Only the adapter is supplied.

Sustained playback stability

The 38 mm diameter and 12 mm height keep the record centred during extended sessions. Precise 7.5 mm hole alignment reduces wobble that can cause speed drift over time. Solid aluminium construction maintains dimensional accuracy under continuous rotation.

Centre-spindle interface limits

The 7.5 mm hole matches the standard turntable spindle size. Records with non-standard centre holes cannot be secured by this adapter. The fixed 1.50 inch outer diameter does not accommodate oversized label areas.

Questions about this item

Does the aluminium adapter generate any noise or heat when the turntable runs all day?

The solid aluminium alloy body has no moving parts and no electronics, so it produces no noise and no measurable heat during continuous playback.

What must I already own for the 38 mm diameter, 7.5 mm centre-hole adapter to work?

You need a turntable with a standard 7.5 mm spindle — the adapter simply slips over it to reduce the 38 mm record hole to the correct size.

Will the 12 mm high, 1.50 in diameter adapter fit my Technics SL-1200 series deck alongside the original platter?

Yes, it is designed for all Technics SL-1200 series turntables and matches the standard 45 rpm record dimensions used on those models.
