A 500 W server power supply compatible with the PowerEdge R410, accepting 100–240 V at 50/60 Hz
This 500W unit is built for the Dell PowerEdge R410 server and matches part numbers H318J, 0H318J, MHD8J and 0MHD8J. It replaces model numbers D500E-S0 or A500E-S0 in compatible systems. Buyers who need a different form factor or higher wattage should look elsewhere.
The supply accepts 100-240V input at 7A across 50/60Hz mains frequencies. Maximum output is rated at 500W for continuous server operation. No fan-speed curves or acoustic figures are provided by the manufacturer.
No cables, mounting brackets or management software are included with this power supply. The unit is supplied as a standalone module ready for installation in the designated server bay.

Slide the unit into the R410 bay until the latch clicks, then tighten the captive thumb-screw; the step often missed is securing that screw, which keeps the supply seated under vibration.
Periodically vacuum the intake mesh and exhaust vents to prevent dust build-up; the internal fan bearings are sealed and the electrolytic capacitors are rated for the supply's design lifetime, so no scheduled part replacement is required.
The 500 W maximum output power is the first hard limit; sustained draw above that triggers over-current protection and shuts the unit down.
