Dual Xeon server board with 32 GB DDR3

This X99 platform ships with an E5 2678 V3 processor and 32 GB of DDR3 memory configured as four 8 GB modules. The board includes USB 3.0 ports and an NVME M.2 slot that supports drives up to 256 GB. It is aimed at builders assembling a cost‑focused dual‑socket server or workstation.

Upgrades from single‑socket DDR3 systems

The jump makes sense when workloads need two physical Xeon CPUs and more memory channels than a single‑socket board provides. Buyers who require larger NVME capacity, newer DDR generations or single‑thread performance gains should look elsewhere.
