2-Inch Flat Sash Brush

The Wooster 4412-2 is a 2-inch flat sash paint brush built for trim, corners and detail work. Its firm Chinex FTP synthetic bristles hold a heavy load of oil-based or water-based coatings and release them evenly on smooth, medium or rough surfaces including wood, metal, drywall, brick and concrete.

Stainless-Steel Ferrule

A stainless-steel ferrule resists corrosion from solvents and cleaning agents so the bristles stay anchored through repeated use. This single construction detail prevents the ferrule from rusting or loosening, which is the most common cause of bristle loss on flat sash brushes used with aggressive coatings.

Wood Sash Handle

The wooden sash handle is shaped for a controlled grip during long cutting-in sessions. No additional accessories or software are bundled; the brush arrives ready to use with any paint or coating base.

Questions about this item

How does the 2" brush width translate when you are cutting in around trim?

The 2" flat sash gives a clean edge on door frames and window casings while still holding enough paint for longer strokes without constant reloading.

What does the stainless steel ferrule prevent compared with a standard metal one?

Stainless steel resists rust from water-based paints and cleaning solvents, so the bristles stay locked in and the brush keeps its shape over repeated jobs.

How much clearance does the 9/16" bristle thickness need in a paint tray or bucket?

At 9/16" thick the brush sits comfortably in standard trays and 1-gallon buckets without tipping or bending the filaments against the rim.
