18 in roller cover for semi-smooth surfaces

The Wooster R205-18 is an 18 in paint roller cover with a 3/8 in nap woven fabric surface. It is designed for use on semi-smooth substrates such as drywall, wood, metal, brick, concrete and masonry. The cover accepts all paints, enamels and varnishes. It fits compatible yoke-style roller frames.

Slides onto yoke frames with included end caps

Installation is simple: slide the cover onto a compatible yoke-style frame and press the two included end caps into the 1 1/2 in polypropylene core. The woven fabric resists matting, so loading is even and shedding is minimal. Problems occur when the cover is forced onto non-yoke frames or when the end caps are omitted, causing the cover to shift or spin during use.

Limited to yoke frames and 3/8 in nap texture

The cover only works with yoke-style frames such as the BR036-18, BR045-18 and BR047-18; cage or threaded frames will not engage the core. The 3/8 in nap is suited to semi-smooth surfaces and will not hold enough coating for rough textures or fill deep pores on heavy stucco. Buyers needing a thicker nap for rough surfaces or a different frame interface should choose another cover.
