Wooster Brush Company R232-18 18" Paint Roller Cover, 1/4" Nap

18-inch roller cover for smooth finishes

The Wooster Brush Company R232-18 is an 18-inch paint roller cover with a 1/4-inch nap designed for smooth surfaces. It uses shed-resistant fabric over a polypropylene core and fits standard yoke-style frames. The cover works with both oil-based and water-based paints, plus epoxies on concrete or floors. Two end caps are included.

Suited for large smooth walls and floors.

This cover suits painters who need to coat broad smooth areas such as walls, ceilings or concrete floors quickly. The short nap limits paint pickup, so it is not ideal for rough or heavily textured substrates where a thicker cover would carry more material. Buyers who need a cover for stippled or popcorn finishes should look elsewhere.

Covers wide smooth areas; runs out on rough texture

The 18-inch width and 1/4-inch nap comfortably handle large smooth drywall, plaster or sealed concrete with minimal stipple. On uneven or porous surfaces the short nap cannot hold enough coating to fill depressions, so coverage drops and extra passes are needed. Compatible frames include models 8614, BR412-21, BR045-18, BR047-18 and BR036-18.
