2-1/2 Inch Angle Varnish Brush

The Wooster Ultra/Pro Firm brush is built for precise cutting-in on trim, windows and cabinetry. Its angled sash profile places pigment exactly where a straight ferrule cannot reach. Painters and DIY decorators who need crisp edges on varnish or oil-based coatings will find the firm bristle response predictable and controllable.

Firm Stiffness for Heavy-Bodied Coatings

The single specification that decides suitability is the firm bristle stiffness. It resists bending under thick varnish, enamel or oil-based paint, keeping the tip sharp through long strokes. Softer brushes would flare and leave ridges; this grade holds its shape without fighting the user.

2-11/16 Inch Bristle Length and Sealed Maple Handle

The 2-11/16 inch bristle length carries enough finish for several feet of moulding before reloading. The sealed maple handle resists moisture swelling during clean-up and the rust-resistant steel ferrule prevents staining on light-coloured varnish. Very large flat surfaces such as doors or panelling will require a wider tool for efficient coverage.
