Wooster Z1293 Angle Sash Brush

The Wooster Z1293 is a 1-1/2 inch angle sash paint brush designed for precise cutting-in and trim work. It features soft black China bristles set in a rust-resistant steel ferrule with a sealed maple wood handle.

Ideal for detail painters and trim work

This brush suits painters who need a soft bristle for smooth finishes on window sashes, door frames and narrow edges. Buyers who want a wider wall brush or a stiffer bristle for heavy-bodied coatings should look at something else.

Simple hand tool with no assembly

The brush arrives ready to use; simply rinse the bristles before the first job to remove loose fibers. The most common issue is failing to clean oil-based paint thoroughly, which hardens the bristles and shortens the brush life.

Questions about this item

What paint types work with the soft black China bristle on the Wooster Z1293?

The soft black China bristle is suited for oil-based paints, varnishes and stains.

Will the 1-1/2 inch angle sash fit alongside my existing 2 inch flat brushes in a standard holder?

Its 1-1/2 inch width and angled trim leave room for wider flat brushes in most multi-slot holders.

How can I tell the rust-resistant steel ferrule is seated correctly after first use?

The ferrule should sit flush against the sealed maple handle with no visible gap and bristles should not splay when pressed.
