This passive selector routes composite video and stereo audio from two sources such as a DVD player and a retro game console to a single television input. It is built for users who still rely on yellow-red-white connections and want a simple way to toggle between devices without unplugging cables.

Tool-free setup with manual toggle

Each source plugs into colour-coded RCA jacks on the rear and the output runs to the display. A top-mounted slide switch selects the active channel instantly. No power adapter is required so there is no extra outlet to find. The metal enclosure shields the signal path, and the specified 50 Hz to 5.5 MHz video bandwidth plus 10 Hz to 20 kHz audio response keep distortion low. The only common issue is forgetting which position corresponds to which device.

Handles standard-definition signals up to 1024 x

The switch passes typical composite resolutions cleanly and supports the listed 0.8 to 1.0 Vp-p video levels with 75 ohm impedance. Audio passes at 2 V RMS with 47 kilohm input and 1 kilohm output impedance. It will not convert or upscale signals, so high-definition sources or HDMI devices are outside its scope. The compact 13.6 cm by 10 cm by 3.8 cm case fits behind most entertainment units.
