Compatibility
This hub is designed for MacBook Pro models from 2016, 2018 and 2019 with 13, 15 and 16 inch screens. It also fits MacBook Air devices that share the same port layout. The two-connector plug mates directly with the side of the machine so no cable dongle is required.
Sustained Operation
Thunderbolt 3 maintains up to 40 Gb/s while the three USB 3.0 ports and the card reader each run at 5 Gb/s. The single USB-C data port also operates at 5 Gb/s. Power delivery of 100 W passes through continuously so the host stays charged during long sessions.
Video Capability
HDMI output reaches 4K at 30 Hz or 1080p at 60 Hz. The Thunderbolt 3 port can drive a 5K display at 60 Hz or two 4K displays at 60 Hz. Both mirror and extend modes are supported for dual-screen workflows.

Questions about this item
How much heat or fan noise does the hub produce when running at 100W PD all day?
The hub is passively cooled with no fan, so it runs silently; the aluminium body may become warm during continuous 100W charging but stays within safe operating temperature.
Which ports must my laptop already have for this hub to function?
Your laptop needs two adjacent USB-C ports that both support Thunderbolt 3 and DisplayPort Alt Mode, matching the 13, 15 or 16 inch MacBook Pro 2016-2019 layout.
Will the Thunderbolt 3 port still drive a 5K 60Hz monitor if I keep my older 1080p 60Hz display on HDMI?
Yes, Thunderbolt 3 can output 5K at 60Hz while HDMI simultaneously shows 1080p at 60Hz in either mirror or extend mode.
