Four-computer dual-monitor KVM

This DisplayPort 1.4 KVM switch connects four computers to two monitors and a shared keyboard, mouse and three USB 3.0 peripherals. It is built for users who need to control multiple desktops or laptops from one workstation without unplugging cables. Driver-free operation works with Windows, Linux, macOS and other major operating systems. Switching is done via front-panel buttons or the included wired remote.

Resolution headroom and limits

Dual-monitor output reaches 8K at 60 Hz or 4K at 144 Hz with HDR 10 and Dolby Vision support, while lower resolutions such as 4K at 60 Hz are also handled. The link runs at up to 32.4 Gbps, so bandwidth is sufficient for high-refresh 4K or compressed 8K signals. Extended, mirrored or spliced desktop modes depend on each computer’s graphics capability. Audio and microphone channels pass through the switch independently of video.

DisplayPort 1.4 practical constraints

The switch uses DisplayPort 1.4 and is backward compatible with DisplayPort 1.2 sources, but it cannot exceed the 32.4 Gbps line rate of that standard. USB 3.0 ports deliver up to 5 Gbps, far above USB 2.0’s 480 Mbps, yet they remain limited to the USB 3.0 specification. No external power supply is required for basic operation, though the package includes one for demanding configurations. Buyers whose systems lack dual-display outputs or need more than four computer ports will need a different solution.

Questions about this item

Will my older DP 1.2 graphics cards work with the 8K@60Hz DP 1.4 KVM switch?

Yes. The switch is backwards compatible with DP 1.2, so DP 1.2 cards will function at their native resolutions such as 4K@60Hz.

How do I confirm the KVM is passing 8K@60Hz or 4K@144Hz to both monitors after setup?

Check each monitor's on-screen information menu; it should report 8K at 60 Hz or 4K at 144 Hz. The front-panel LEDs also show which of the four computer ports is active.

Which cables and accessories are included, and what must I buy separately?

The box contains the KVM unit, four USB 3.0 cables, a power adapter, a wired remote button, and a manual. You must supply four DisplayPort cables (two per computer) for the video links.
