Cat 8 Ethernet cable for high-speed networking

This Cat 8 Ethernet cable delivers 40Gbps data transmission and 2000MHz bandwidth over a 50 ft run, serving gamers, streamers and home-office users who need reliable wired connectivity for online gaming, HD video streaming and large file transfers. The flat braided design simplifies routing under carpets and along baseboards.

Sustained 40Gbps throughput with S/FTP shielding

Four shielded foiled twisted pairs and an aluminum foil layer suppress crosstalk and external interference, keeping latency low and speeds consistent during extended gaming sessions or continuous 4K streaming. Gold-plated RJ45 contacts on an aluminum housing resist oxidation, preserving signal integrity over long-term use.

Flat braided cable eases installation in tight

The thin, flexible flat profile slides under doors and around corners without kinking, while the cotton braid adds tensile strength for repeated re-routing. Ensure each RJ45 plug clicks fully into the port; a loose seat is the most common cause of intermittent link drops. Backward compatibility with Cat 5e, Cat 6 and Cat 6e devices allows use with existing hardware.

Questions about this item

Does the flat braided Cat 8 cable run hot or draw noticeable power during all-day gaming?

The cable is passive copper with no active electronics, so it generates no heat and draws no power regardless of how long it runs.

What devices must I already own to use this 50 ft Cat 8 cable with gold-plated RJ45 connectors?

You need two pieces of equipment that each have an RJ45 port — for example a router, modem, PC, PS5, Xbox Series, Switch or smart TV.

Will this S/FTP shielded Cat 8 cable work with my older Cat 5e router and Cat 6 wall jacks?

Yes, the cable is backward compatible with Cat 5e, Cat 6 and Cat 6e RJ45 equipment, so it will link at the highest speed both ends support.
