What this converter does

The WRIARICH adapter changes an HDMI source into a composite video signal with stereo audio. It lets you connect modern laptops, consoles or set-top boxes to older TVs, VCRs or DVD recorders that only accept RCA inputs.

The signal it produces

Output is limited to standard-definition 480i or 576i CVBS, so the picture will not be high definition even though the input accepts 1080P. Buyers who need a true HD picture on a modern display cannot use this device.

Installation notes

Plug the HDMI cable in, connect the three colour-coded RCA leads, and attach the supplied USB cable for power. No drivers are required. The only common issue is forgetting the USB power lead, which leaves the unit dark.
