Bandwidth and resolution limits

The 48 Gbps link caps 8K output at 60 Hz. Higher refresh rates at 8K are not possible over this interface. 4K signals can reach 120 Hz and 1080p can reach 240 Hz within the same bandwidth budget. Deep-colour modes up to 36-bit and dynamic HDR are supported, but only if the source and display also implement them.

Check your cables and devices

Verify that every HDMI cable in the chain is rated for 48 Gbps operation; older cables will fall back to lower speeds. Confirm that each source device can output the desired resolution and refresh rate over HDMI 2.1. The switch draws power from the connected sources, so ensure they supply enough current on the HDMI pins.
