Capture Purpose

The WRIARICH OZC2 is a 4K HDMI to 1080P USB 3.0 Type-C capture card built for live streaming and recording. It accepts an HDMI source up to 3840x2160 at 30 Hz and delivers a 1080P 60 Hz signal to a computer or smartphone. No driver installation or external power is required, making it suited for broadcasters, educators and gamers who need a portable capture solution.

Suitability

This device suits creators who want to connect a DSLR, camcorder, action camera, PS4, Switch or Xbox to Windows, Mac or Linux for real-time streaming on Twitch, YouTube, OBS, Potplayer or VLC. It supports 8/10/12-bit deep color and works with standard AWG26 HDMI cables up to 15 metres for 1080P signals. Buyers who need captured 4K 60 Hz output or internal PCIe capture should look at something else.

Deciding Specification

The single specification that decides fit is the maximum output resolution of 1080P at 60 Hz despite a 4K 30 Hz input capability. If your workflow requires recording or streaming at the source 4K resolution, this card will not meet that need. For 1080P 60 Hz capture with plug-and-play simplicity on USB 3.0 or Type-C, the OZC2 matches the requirement.

Questions about this item

What HDMI cable length and gauge does the OZC2 require for a 1080P signal?

The capture card supports an AWG26 standard HDMI cable up to 15 metres for 1080P and lower resolutions.

Does the OZC2 need drivers or external power when I plug it into a USB 3.0 Type-C port?

No driver installation is required and no external power supply is needed; it draws power directly from the USB 3.0 Type-C connection.

How often should I check or replace the supplied AWG26 HDMI cable to keep a reliable 4K input?

Inspect the cable whenever you reroute it; replace it if the connectors loosen, the jacket frays, or 4K@30FPS input starts dropping frames.
