Capacity and headroom

The switch accepts video signals up to 4K at 60 Hz and passes 12-bit per channel deep colour. It handles 480p, 576p, 720p, 1080p and 1080p 3D sources alongside the top resolution. Bandwidth reaches 18.5 Gbps at 600 MHz, with a separate transmission rating of 18 Gbps at 1536 MHz. HDR in 4:4:4 RGB format is supported. Audio passes through in compressed formats including DTS Digital and Dolby Digital.

HDMI 2.0 practical limits

HDMI 2.0 caps throughput at 18 Gbps, so 4K at 60 Hz with full 4:4:4 colour is the ceiling; higher refresh rates or 8K signals cannot pass. HDCP 2.2 and HDCP 1.4 are both implemented, allowing protected content from modern and legacy sources. The switch auto-detects newly connected inputs and jumps to them, but it does not expand the single output into multiple displays. Buyers needing more than three inputs or dual-monitor output must look elsewhere.
