4K 60Hz HDMI 2.0b Audio Switch

The WRIARICH OZV2E is a 2-port HDMI 2.0b switch with integrated audio extraction. It accepts two HDMI sources and routes video to one HDMI output while sending audio to optical Toslink, coaxial, 3.5 mm jack or a dedicated 7.1-channel HDMI audio port. The unit supports 4K resolution at 60 Hz and 3D content.

Upgrade from basic HDMI splitters

Basic splitters duplicate the same signal to multiple displays without audio separation. This switch adds format conversion via a four-position toggle for TV, 2.0, 5.1 and 7.1 audio modes. It also handles ARC and eARC return audio from a compatible television. The jump is worthwhile when a sound system lacks HDMI inputs or when source devices outnumber display ports.

Home-theatre owners with legacy audio gear

Buyers who need to connect modern 4K sources to an older AV receiver or powered speakers via optical, coaxial or analogue inputs will benefit. The extractor also serves setups requiring simultaneous HDMI video and separate multi-channel audio. Users needing more than two HDMI inputs or HDMI 2.1 bandwidth should consider a different solution.

Questions about this item

What cables and clearance does the 5.75 x 5.08 x 1.5 inch switch need?

Two HDMI 2.0b inputs and one HDMI 2.0b output plus audio cables; the unit measures 5.75 x 5.08 x 1.5 inches and weighs 8.8 ounces, so allow space for the 5V/1000mA power adapter and cable bend radius.

Which step is most often missed when hooking up the IR remote and audio formats?

Insert a battery into the IR remote (not supplied), connect the 5V/2A DC power adapter before switching sources, then use the 4-position toggle to select TV, 2.0, 5.1 or 7.1 audio output.

What will need replacing or cleaning over time on this extractor?

The IR remote battery will need replacement; keep the optical Toslink, 3.5mm, coaxial and HDMI ports dust-free and ensure the 5V/2A power adapter remains ventilated.
