It uses MST so a single USB-C cable drives the laptop displays while one DisplayPort cable handles the desktop. The unit supports 4K at 60 Hz and 1080p at 60 Hz across all three outputs. It is driver-free and plug-and-play for immediate use.

Verify MST Support and Port Types Before Buying

Your laptop must support MST over USB-C to drive three external screens; macOS only provides copy mode, not extended mode. The desktop requires a DisplayPort output — DVI, VGA or HDMI to DisplayPort adapters are not recommended. Ensure both computers have the matching video ports and that the USB-C port on the laptop carries video and data.
