Designed for 2018 iPad Pro models

This four-port hub is built for the 2018 iPad Pro 11 and 12.9 inch tablets. It adds HDMI video, USB 3.0 data, a 3.5 mm headphone jack and USB-C power delivery through a single Type-C connection. The compact grey housing measures 3.23 by 0.98 by 0.35 inch for easy travel.

HDMI limited to 4K at 30 Hz

The HDMI output supports up to 4K resolution at 30 Hz. That refresh rate suits office work and video playback but will not meet the needs of users who require 60 Hz for fast motion or competitive gaming. The USB 3.0 port delivers up to 5 Gbps data transfer with a 500 mA current limit.

PD charging keeps the tablet powered

The USB-C PD port accepts up to 60 W input and passes power to the iPad Pro while the hub is in use, so battery life is maintained during extended sessions. The 3.5 mm jack provides 48 kHz 16-bit stereo audio input and output via USB 2.0 audio class. No extra drivers or software are required.

Questions about this item

Will the 60 W power-delivery rating keep my iPad Pro charged while I use the other ports?

Yes. The USB-C PD port accepts up to 60 W and passes enough power to run the iPad Pro and the hub simultaneously.

What resolution and refresh rate does the HDMI port actually deliver?

The HDMI output supports up to 4K at 30 Hz, so external monitors or projectors will display at that ceiling.

How much space does the 3.23 x 0.98 x 0.35 inch hub need beside the iPad?

Its slim profile fits flush against the iPad Pro 11 or 12.9 inch, adding barely more than a centimetre of depth.
