Questions about this item

Does the USB 2.0 port limit scan throughput below the rated 50 ppm simplex or 100 ipm duplex?

The scanner connects through a single USB 2.0 port that is also 1.1 compatible; the interface speed is fixed by that bus.

What desk space and clearance does the 16.93 x 10.63 x 8.66 inch chassis need, and will the 100-sheet ADF tray stay attached?

The unit measures 16.93 inches wide, 10.63 inches deep and 8.66 inches high; the input and output trays are included in the box and mount on the scanner body.

Which Windows versions does the supplied DVD support, and does the Quick Install Card cover driver setup before scanning software?

The DVD includes drivers for Windows 2000 SP4, XP SP2 and Vista; the Quick Install Card walks through hardware connection first, then driver installation, before launching the bundled applications.
