XLW PL11 Recording Box 16MB

The XLW PL11 is a compact digital voice recorder that stores up to 16 minutes of audio in 16 MB of internal memory. It captures sound via Bluetooth from a mobile device or through its built-in microphone. A small internal speaker plays recordings back immediately. The unit is finished in white and measures 0.94 L x 1.97 W x 2.56 H inches.

Crafters wanting quick voice clips for cards

Makers who need a simple way to add personal messages to greeting cards, music boxes or holiday projects will find the 16-minute capacity convenient. Users who require longer recording times, removable storage or computer-based file management should consider other devices. The built-in lithium-ion battery provides about 5 hours of operation per charge.

16 MB fixed storage decides suitability

The non-expandable 16 MB memory sets the hard limit at roughly 16 minutes of audio, so the box suits short clips but cannot hold extended sessions. Playback mode can be set from 01 to 08 and volume from 01 to 05 for basic customisation. A USB-C port handles recharging of the 1 mAh cell.

Questions about this item

What does the USB-C interface cap the transfer speed at in practice?

The USB-C port is used only for charging the 1 mAh lithium-ion cell; audio files are not transferred over it.

What are the exact dimensions needed to fit this module into a greeting card or DIY enclosure?

The box measures 0.94 L x 1.97 W x 2.56 H inches, so the cavity must be at least that large.

How is the module installed and which step do users often get wrong?

Charge via USB-C, then long-press 1 second for Bluetooth recording or double-press for MIC recording; a short press stops it — users often hold the button too long and re-enter record mode.
