Input Voltage and Connector Limits

The unit accepts a universal AC input range of 100 to 240 volts at 50 to 60 Hz, drawing up to 1.6 amps, so it works on mains supplies worldwide without a voltage selector. The fixed output is 19.5 volts at 3.34 amps, delivering exactly 65 watts; it cannot negotiate other voltages or currents. The barrel plug measures 4.5 by 3 millimetres, and the centre pin diameter must match the laptop port or the adapter will not seat correctly.

Critical Connector Size Check

The single specification that decides fit is the 4.5 by 3 millimetre barrel connector; the port on the laptop must measure 4.5 millimetres across or slightly less than three sixteenths of an inch. If the existing charger tip differs in outer diameter, inner diameter or pin presence, this adapter will not connect securely or deliver power. Verify the port dimensions before purchase.
