SPILL HERO Paint Solidifier 56.6L

This SPILL HERO paint solidifier converts liquid latex or acrylic paint into a solid mass for simpler disposal. The silicate-based additive absorbs up to 38 gallons of paint across interior or exterior projects. It is supplied as a 23 lb bag of white, unscented powder. The product holds Ecologo certification and is non-flammable.

Application Method and Dry Time

The powder is added directly to the paint container, then shaken and stirred to activate. Full solidification occurs in roughly three minutes, turning wet paint into a dry, manageable solid. This rapid process reduces waiting time on site and limits the risk of spills during transport. The additive works with both latex and acrylic formulations.

Capacity and Use Limits

One 23 lb bag treats up to 38 gallons of paint, giving ample headroom for typical renovation or maintenance jobs. Very large volumes will require multiple bags to achieve full solidification. The product is not suited for oil-based or specialty coatings outside the stated latex and acrylic range. Buyers needing to solidify other chemical bases should seek a compatible alternative.

Questions about this item

How often will the 23 lb bag of silicate base solidifier need to be replaced?

Each bag absorbs up to 38 gallons of latex or acrylic paint, so replacement depends on the total volume of waste paint you process.

What limit appears first when solidifying large batches continuously?

The 38 gallon absorption capacity per 23 lb bag is the limiting factor; once reached, additional solidifier must be added.

Does the product generate heat, fumes or noise while hardening paint throughout the day?

The solidifier is non-flammable, unscented and works by absorption, producing no measurable heat, fumes or noise during use.
