Solar-powered trail camera for remote monitoring

The Y-cam SYCAMTC A10 is a 4G cellular trail camera built for hunters, researchers and property owners who need eyes on off-grid locations. A 5 W solar panel feeds a 7800 mAh battery for continuous operation without regular battery swaps. IP65 weatherproofing handles rain, snow and dust. Dual lenses give a 120° wide view and telephoto reach to 66 ft.

Upgrade from Wi-Fi or manual-check cameras

This unit replaces trail cameras that rely on local Wi-Fi or require physical SD-card retrieval. The jump is worth it when the site has cellular coverage but no Wi-Fi, or when you need instant alerts and remote setting changes via the app. The 0.2 s trigger captures fast-moving game that slower cameras miss. 2.7 K video and 1080p clips store on a micro SD card up to 128 GB.

Check cellular signal and storage before ordering

Verify that Verizon, T-Mobile or AT&T 4G LTE service reaches the mounting spot; the built-in eSIM works only in the U.S. and cannot fall back to Wi-Fi. Ensure you have a micro SD card (not included) for local recording. The camera needs an unobstructed view of the sky for the solar panel to maintain charge through winter or heavy canopy.

Questions about this item

What mounting hardware is required for the camera and its 5W solar panel?

The unit is designed for outdoor mounting on a tree or post; the solar panel and camera housing both include integrated straps and brackets for direct attachment without extra hardware.

How do I insert the micro SD card and activate the eSIM during setup?

Open the weather-sealed compartment, slide the micro SD card (up to 128 GB) into the slot until it clicks, then power on the camera — the built-in eSIM auto-connects to Verizon, T-Mobile or AT&T and the app walks you through the 7-day trial activation.

How often will the 7800 mAh battery need replacement if the solar panel receives daily sun?

With regular sunlight the 5 W panel keeps the 7800 mAh battery topped up indefinitely; plan on swapping the battery only after several years when its capacity drops below useful runtime.
