A ROS-programmable robotic arm kit with a 7-inch screen and Astra Pro 3D camera for 3D mapping, navigation, and AI vision projects
The Yahboom Transbot kit provides a ROS-based programmable platform for adults and advanced learners. It uses Rviz, MoveIt and Qt toolboxes to link simulated joint control with the real robotic arm. A built-in 7-inch screen allows direct operation without an external monitor.
The included Astra Pro camera enables RTAB-VSLAM 3D mapping, navigation and obstacle avoidance. It supplies depth maps, colour maps and skeleton data through dedicated APIs. A KCF filter algorithm adds on-screen target selection for visual following tasks.
The three-degree-of-freedom arm handles fixed-point navigation, colour tracking, AR tag recognition and face detection. It performs 3-DOF flexible grasping suited to lightweight objects and tabletop demos. Heavier payloads, high-speed pick-and-place or industrial-grade repeatability are beyond its design.
Measured against everything we stock in STEM Kits & Building Blocks, at today’s prices. Recalculated every night.
No published specifications for this item yet.
The Astra Pro 3D camera on version III is factory-calibrated for RTAB-VSLAM mapping and does not require user recalibration during normal operation.
The Raspberry Pi board reaches its thermal limit before the 7-inch display, so sustained AI workloads will trigger CPU throttling first.
The 3-DOF arm servos and rotating lidar produce a moderate mechanical hum audible across a quiet room, but no high-pitched whine.
