Extracts audio from HDMI sources to optical, RCA stereo and HDMI pass-through up to 4K 60 Hz 18 Gbps with 5.1-channel Dolby Digital and DTS pass-through
The Yankok YKAD-HDMI-5.1CH extracts audio from an HDMI source and sends it to separate analogue and digital outputs while passing video to a display. It handles 4K at 60 Hz and 1080p at up to 144 Hz. The unit requires the included 5 V power adapter.
Installers connecting a player, console or PC to a sound system or amplifier via optical or RCA will find the three EDID modes useful. It does not decode Dolby or DTS for the analogue output, so buyers who need multichannel analogue audio should look elsewhere. ARC function is not supported.
The extractor comfortably handles HDR, 36-bit deep colour and 3D signals at the rated resolutions. Optical SPDIF carries 5.1-channel Dolby Digital and DTS pass-through plus 2-channel PCM. RCA output is limited to 2-channel PCM stereo, so multichannel analogue monitoring is not possible.

Connect any HDMI source such as a Chromecast, PS3, PS4, Blu-ray player, Apple TV, PC or other entertainment device to the single HDMI input.
Yes, the optical SPDIF output passes Dolby Digital and DTS 5.1CH bitstreams; it does not decode them, so the receiver must support those formats.
Use an HDMI 2.0 certified cable, set the source to 4K 50/60Hz (YUV444), and confirm the display shows a stable 4K 60Hz signal with audio present on HDMI, SPDIF or RCA.
