Adds a DB25 parallel port via PCIe x1 for printers, programmers and scanners with 16C550C UART and broad OS support
This PCIe x1 add-on card adds a single DB25 parallel port to a modern system. It is built for users who must connect legacy printers, programmers or scanners that still rely on an LPT interface. The 16C550C compatible UART provides a 16 byte FIFO for reliable data transfer. Installation fits any PCIe x1, x4, x8 or x16 slot.
The card restores a parallel connection on motherboards that no longer include a built-in LPT header. It is worth fitting when existing USB-to-parallel adapters cannot satisfy timing-sensitive programmers or industrial equipment. The 9805 controller handles SPP, PS2, EPP and ECP modes under IEEE 1284 without jumpers. BIOS assigns the I/O address and IRQ automatically.
The 32-bit bus design complies with PCI Express 1.1 and PCI 2.1 specifications for stable throughput during long print or programming jobs. Supported operating systems range from DOS and Windows 95 through Windows Server 2008 32/64-bit, plus Linux and Mac OS/X 10.5. No hardware switches mean configuration stays consistent across reboots. The low-profile bracket suits compact chassis.
