Microsoft Teams Rooms System

The Yealink MVC S40 C5U is a Microsoft Teams Rooms System built around the SmartVision 40 all-in-one audio and video integration machine. It combines the MCore 4 compute unit with the MTouch Plus controller and a RoomSensor for room analytics. This device targets organisations that want a certified Teams meeting experience in a single package.

Bundled components and their roles

The SmartVision 40 handles camera, microphone and speaker functions in one unit, reducing the number of separate devices on the table. MCore 4 provides the processing platform for the Teams application, while MTouch Plus serves as the touch control panel for meeting management. RoomSensor adds occupancy and environmental data that the Teams admin centre can use for space planning.

Suitable for small to medium Teams rooms

This system suits IT teams deploying Microsoft Teams Rooms in huddle spaces or medium conference rooms where an all-in-one video bar simplifies installation. Buyers who need modular camera placement, support for third-party UC platforms, or larger-room coverage with multiple microphones should look at alternative configurations.

Questions about this item

Will the SmartVision 40 camera module need separate firmware updates or lens cleaning over time?

The SmartVision 40 is an all-in-one audio and video integration machine; firmware updates are handled through the MCore 4 management console and the fixed lens requires only occasional dust removal with a microfibre cloth.

Which component reaches its thermal or processing limit first during a full-day Teams meeting?

The MCore 4 compute unit is the first to hit sustained-load limits; its passive cooling is sized for continuous conference workloads without throttling under normal room temperatures.

How much fan noise and heat does the MCore 4 produce when the system runs all day?

The MCore 4 uses a fanless design, so it adds no audible noise; heat output stays low enough that the RoomSensor reports only a slight rise above ambient during extended sessions.
