Executive IP Phone with Expansion

The Yealink SIP-T46U combines a 4.3-inch 480 x 272-pixel color display with up to 16 SIP accounts for multi-line management. An included EXP43 module adds a second 4.3-inch 272 x 480-pixel color screen for extra programmable keys. Dual-port Gigabit Ethernet connects the phone and a downstream device through one cable run. Power over Ethernet supplies the unit without a separate adapter.

Silent Operation and Low Power

The phone draws power entirely from the PoE link so no external power adapter is required and no fan noise is generated. Typical consumption stays within standard PoE limits for a desk device. The color backlights on both screens operate at modest brightness for office lighting conditions. Heat output is negligible in normal use.

Desk Integration and Connectivity

Two USB ports accept Bluetooth, Wi-Fi or USB headset dongles and a recording stick in any combination of two. The second Ethernet port passes network access to a PC without an extra wall jack. Wall-mount tabs are built into the base for vertical mounting. The expansion module attaches directly to the phone without additional cabling or configuration.

Questions about this item

How do I connect the T46U and the EXP43 module to the network and power them without a separate power adapter?

Plug the incoming Ethernet cable into the T46U LAN port, then link the PC port to the EXP43; both devices draw power through PoE so no external adapter is required.

What ongoing upkeep does the EXP43 colour screen need after extended daily use?

Clean the 4.3-inch 272 x 480-pixel display with a soft, dry cloth; the module has no user-replaceable parts or batteries, so no scheduled maintenance is required.

At what point do I hit the account limit when configuring SIP lines on the T46U?

The phone supports up to 16 SIP accounts; once all 16 are registered, additional lines cannot be added.
