Transparent Acrylic-Gel Tape

This clear double-sided mounting tape uses an acrylic-gel formulation that delivers strong adhesion on metal, plastic, marble, wood and glass. It comes in a 10-foot roll that is 1.18 inches wide and 0.07 inches thick, supplied as a single continuous length.

Build Integration

The tape bonds instantly without curing time, so you can press an object in place and continue working immediately. It requires a clean, dry and stable surface; the manufacturer warns against dry-painted walls, wallpaper, peeling paint, gypsum and stone. Heat from a hair dryer softens the adhesive for easier removal.

Capacity and Headroom

Rated to hold roughly one pound per inch on smooth surfaces, the tape suits lightweight fixtures, decorations and craft projects. It is not intended for heavy objects or valuables, and prolonged direct sunlight may yellow the surface without affecting adhesion. The tape is reusable after washing.

Questions about this item

How much weight can the 1.18in wide tape hold per inch on a smooth surface?

The tape is rated to hold up to 1 pound per inch of width on smooth surfaces, so the 1.18in roll can support roughly 1.18 pounds per linear inch when applied correctly.

Will the acrylic-gel adhesive soften or lose grip if the mounted location gets hot during the day?

The supplier notes that prolonged direct sunlight may yellow the tape surface, but states this does not affect adhesive performance; for high-heat areas, test a small piece first.

What surface preparation does the tape require before I press it in place?

The contact surface must be clean and dry; after positioning, press firmly for 20 seconds to ensure full adhesive contact and long-lasting hold.
