A coiled 2-in-1 cable with USB-A to USB-C and Lightning connectors stretches from 1.5 ft to 6 ft, delivers up to 3 A fast charging and 480 Mbps data sync, and works with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto
This coiled cable combines a USB-A plug with both USB-C and Lightning tips in a single cord. It charges and syncs iPhone 12 through 16 models alongside USB-C Android phones such as Galaxy and Pixel devices. The spring design keeps the cable tidy inside a vehicle while supporting Apple CarPlay and Android Auto for simultaneous charging and navigation. MFi certification prevents compatibility warnings on Apple hardware.
Carrying separate Lightning and USB-C cables is no longer necessary for drivers who switch between iPhone and Android handsets. The 2-in-1 layout is worth it when the vehicle has only one USB-A port yet both phone types must stay charged and connected to the infotainment system. Buyers who need to charge tablets, laptops or iPad models should look elsewhere because this cable does not support those devices.
Data moves at up to 480 Mbps, which is the ceiling of the USB 2.0 signalling used by the USB-A connector. Power delivery tops out at 2.4 A for the Lightning tip and 3 A for the USB-C tip, so charging speed is bounded by the host port rather than the cable itself. The coiled section stretches from 1.5 ft to a maximum of 6 ft, with a comfortable working range of roughly 2 ft to 4 ft; stretching to the limit is not recommended.

The coiled body is about 1.5 ft long when relaxed and stretches to 6 ft max; allow a few centimetres behind the port so the spring can extend without pulling the connector.
Insert the USB-A end into the vehicle port, then attach either the Lightning or USB-C tip to the phone; the cable carries 480 Mbps data so the infotainment system recognises the device immediately.
The spring is rated for normal 2 ft to 4 ft comfortable stretch; if it no longer retracts fully or the 2.4 A Lightning / 3 A USB-C charge rate drops, replace the cable.
