What this tarp is and who needs it

The Yescom 07PTR003-18X24-0611 is an 18 by 24 foot polyethylene tarpaulin built for outdoor and indoor protection. It suits homeowners, campers, contractors and boat owners who need a large waterproof barrier against rain, sun and dust. The reversible silver and black finish reflects heat to keep covered areas cooler in summer.

The specification that decides fit

The sheet is 14 mil thick and uses 100 percent virgin PE with triple coated lamination for double sided waterproof and UV resistant performance. Aluminium grommets are spaced every 3 1/4 feet along all edges and reinforced PP capped corners add extra tear resistance. Seamless edges prevent water leakage across the full 18 by 24 foot surface.

Installation ease and common issues

Grommets at 1 metre intervals let you secure the tarp quickly with bungee cords or rope without special tools. The 19.47 pound weight means one person can position it but two people make unfolding and aligning the large sheet easier. Ensure the covered object is smaller than the tarp dimensions so the edges can be anchored properly.

Questions about this item

How does the 14-mil thickness perform when the tarp is used as a long-term cover?

The 14-mil heavy-duty polyethylene construction with triple-coated lamination provides waterproof and UV-resistant protection, rated for up to three years of anti-aging performance in outdoor conditions.

What does the 3 1/4 ft grommet spacing mean for tie-down options?

Aluminum grommets placed every 3 1/4 ft (1 m) along all edges, plus reinforced PP-capped corners with grommets, give multiple secure attachment points for ropes or bungee cords.

Will the 18 x 24 ft dimensions and 19.47 lb weight fit a standard pickup truck bed?

At 18 x 24 ft the tarp far exceeds a typical truck bed, so it is better suited for boat covers, carports, haystacks or large equipment; the 19.47 lb weight requires two people to handle easily.
