HDMI extender over single Ethernet cable

The YINGHUA extender pair carries a 1080p HDMI signal up to 60 metres over one CAT 5e or CAT 6 cable. It is built for installers who need to place a display far from the source PC, laptop or media player without running long HDMI leads.

Metal shell with external power adapters

Each unit draws power from an included EU-plug adapter so the transmitter and receiver operate without bus power limits. The aluminium housing passively dissipates heat during continuous operation and the link runs at a fixed 1.65 Gbit per second bandwidth.

Two power adapters and transmitter or receiver pair

The box supplies both endpoints and matching power supplies so the link works immediately after cabling. No software or drivers are required; buyers who need 4K resolution, longer distance than 60 metres or a multi-input KVM matrix cannot use this kit.

Questions about this item

How do I connect the transmitter and receiver units with a single Ethernet cable and which step is often missed?

Run one CAT5e or CAT6 cable between the RJ45 ports on the transmitter and receiver, connect the HDMI source to the transmitter and the display to the receiver, then plug both DC power adapters in — the step most people forget is powering both units before expecting a 1080P signal.

What maintenance or replacement will the extender need over time?

The metal-shell units have no moving parts or filters; only the two external power adapters may eventually wear out and need swapping for a matching DC supply.

At what distance does the 1080P image start to degrade on a long cable run?

The extender is rated for 60 metres maximum over CAT6; beyond that the 1.65 Gbps bandwidth drops and the 1920×1080 picture will show artefacts or lose sync.
