10-Pack Printhead Cables for Wide-Format Printers

This set contains ten replacement data cables designed for Roland VS640, Mimaki JV300 and Mutoh 1638 wide-format printers. Each cable connects a DX7, XP600 or TX800 printhead to the mainboard using a 29-pin FFC interface. The 50 cm length suits standard internal routing in these machines.

29-Pin FFC Interface and Length

The flat flexible cable format uses a 29-pin connector that matches the original printhead socket exactly. A 50 cm run provides enough slack for carriage movement without excess coil. Buyers who need a different pin count, a longer reach or cables for other printhead models will not be served by this pack.

Questions about this item

How often should the 29-pin FFC cables be inspected or replaced in a Roland VS640?

Inspect the flat cables during routine printhead servicing; replace any that show creasing, corrosion on the contacts or intermittent signal errors.

What is the first limitation when running the DX7, XP600 or TX800 heads continuously with these 50 cm cables?

Signal integrity over the 50 cm length at high firing frequencies; excessive bending or EMI can cause data errors before the heads themselves overheat.
