What the extender does

This KVM extender sends HDMI video and USB keyboard and mouse signals up to 150 metres over a single Cat5e or Cat6 cable. It supports 1080p resolution at 60 Hz and complies with HDCP 1.4. The kit suits installers who need to place a PC or DVR far from the display in classrooms, data centres or digital signage.

Cabling and power to verify

Confirm you have solid-core Cat5e or Cat6 patch cable terminated to the IEEE 568B wiring standard for the full 150 metre run. Both transmitter and receiver units require the supplied EU plug power adapters, so a mains socket is needed at each end. The link uses MJPEG decoding and the 802.3 Ethernet physical layer with no software configuration.

Behaviour on long runs

At the maximum 150 metre distance the extender maintains 1080p 60 Hz output with a bandwidth ceiling of 150 MHz and a baud rate of 4.5 Gbps. Latency stays low enough for keyboard and mouse control during extended sessions. The hardware runs at low temperature and draws minimal power, so it remains stable when left on continuously in unattended installations.

Questions about this item

Does the package include the Cat5e/6 cable needed for the 150m link or must I buy it separately?

The extender uses a single Cat5e or Cat6 cable up to 150 meters; that cable is not included and must be purchased separately.

Which HDMI resolution should I select for a 60Hz display — 480P, 720P or 1080P?

All three resolutions are supported; choose 1080P for the highest 60Hz image quality the extender can deliver.

What does the 4.5G bps baud rate mean for my keyboard and mouse responsiveness?

The 4.5G bps bandwidth carries HDMI video, USB keyboard and mouse, and Ethernet together, giving low-latency control at the full 150m distance.
