What this product is and who it is for

The YINGHUA HDMI KVM extender transmits 1080p video at 60 Hz and USB keyboard and mouse signals up to 150 metres over a single Cat5e or Cat6 cable. It replaces long HDMI runs with cost-effective Ethernet wiring and includes a UK plug for mains power. The unit supports HDCP 1.4 and MJPEG decoding for protected content playback.

Who this suits and who should look elsewhere

This extender suits installers who need to place a PC, DVR or media player far from the display in classrooms, conference rooms, retail signage or data-centre racks. It is not for buyers who require 4K resolution, HDR metadata pass-through or multi-point switching between several sources.

The specification that decides fit

Maximum transmission distance is 150 metres over Cat6 cable following the IEEE-568B wiring standard, with a bandwidth ceiling of 150 MHz and a 4.5 Gbps baud rate that locks the output to 1080p at 60 Hz.
