Questions about this item

Which cables must I already have to connect two computers and one monitor to this KVM switch?

The box includes two KVM cables that carry VGA, DVI and HDMI video plus USB for keyboard and mouse, so no extra cables are required for a basic two-computer setup.

Will my older 1920 x 1080 DVI monitor work with the 4K HDMI-compatible port on this switch?

Yes, the DVI port supports up to 1920 x 1080 and the HDMI-compatible port handles 4K at 30 Hz, so a 1080p DVI display will function normally when connected through the appropriate port.

How can I confirm the switch is changing ports correctly after I set it up?

Press the keyboard hotkey or the remote button; the active port LED on the unit will change and the connected monitor should display the other computer's desktop within a few seconds.
