What this KVM switch does

This YINGHUA KVM switch lets you control two computers from one keyboard, one mouse and one monitor. It accepts HDMI, DVI and VGA video inputs and shares USB peripherals between the connected systems. A wired remote controller is included for manual port switching. The unit is supplied new with two KVM cables and a manual.

Who should use it and who should not

It suits users who need to share a single display and USB keyboard or mouse between two PCs, especially when those PCs use different video interfaces. Buyers who require simultaneous multi-monitor output, 4K resolution above 30 Hz, or switching for more than two computers will not be served by this device.

The specification that decides fit

The HDMI path supports 4K at 30 Hz, while the DVI path is limited to 1920 x 1080 and the VGA path to 1920 x 1440. If your monitor and source require 4K at a higher refresh rate, this switch will not meet that need.

Questions about this item

Does the 4K 30 Hz HDMI output drop frames or limit colour depth after hours of continuous switching?

The HDMI port is rated for 4K at 30 Hz; sustained use stays within that spec without additional throttling.

How hot or noisy does the unit get when left powered on all day with two computers connected?

The switch has no fan and draws minimal power, so it runs silently and stays cool to the touch during extended operation.

Which cables and peripherals must I already have to connect two PCs to one monitor, keyboard and mouse?

You need two source cables matching your PCs' video ports — HDMI, DVI or VGA — plus a standard USB keyboard and mouse; the box includes the KVM cables and a remote.
