20 km fibre KVM extender

This single-mode fibre KVM extender carries 1080p video at 60 Hz up to 20 kilometres. It includes transmitter and receiver units, a USB-A to USB-B cable, two IR remotes and two US-plug power adapters. The link transports keyboard, mouse, video and 3.5 mm analogue audio over a single SC fibre pair. It suits operators who need to place a computer far from the workstation in secure or electrically noisy environments.

HDCP 1080p60 fibre link

The kit replaces short copper HDMI or USB cables when the source and user positions are separated by hundreds or thousands of metres. It is not for installations that require resolutions above 1080p, multi-channel digital audio or switching between multiple computers. The jump is worth it when distance, EMI immunity or galvanic isolation outweigh the cost of fibre terminations.
