2x1 HDMI Switch Audio Extractor

This new YINGHUA KVM switch connects two HDMI 2.0 sources to a single display. It extracts audio from the active input through optical SPDIF, coaxial and analogue outputs. The unit supports HDCP 2.2 and passes 4K signals at 60 Hz with 18.2 Gbps bandwidth.

Who this suits and who should look elsewhere

It suits users who need to switch between two HDMI devices such as a console and a media player while sending sound to a separate amplifier or soundbar. ARC support lets you pull TV audio back to an external speaker system. Buyers who need more than two inputs or who require DVI compatibility should look elsewhere.

The specification that decides fit

Maximum video bandwidth is 18.2 Gbps with support for 4K at 60 Hz, RGB 4:4:4 and 36-bit deep colour. If your source and display require higher bandwidth than this, the switch will not pass the full signal.

Questions about this item

How can I confirm the switch is passing a 4K 60Hz signal correctly after connecting my sources?

Check that the display shows a stable 4K 60Hz image with RGB 4:4:4 colour and that the HDCP 2.2 handshake completes without flicker.

Which cables and accessories are included in the box versus what I must purchase separately?

The package includes the switch and a USB power cable; you will need to supply two HDMI 2.0 cables for the inputs, one HDMI cable for the output, and your choice of optical, coaxial or 3.5 mm / L-R audio cables.

When should I use the optical or coaxial output instead of the 3.5 mm jack for 5.1-channel sound?

Optical and coaxial outputs support 5.1-channel audio, while the 3.5 mm jack and L-R connectors are limited to two-channel stereo.
